How to Have Beautiful Hair: All of Our Natural Tips

Ethan Hartwell | March 28, 2026

Hair is, for many women, a strong symbol of femininity. Men aren’t left out, and marketing plays on this a lot. Whoever you are, here are some tips for healthy hair, stronger and shinier.

As the cosmetics industry racks up imagination and a wide range of recipes to sell products meant to improve and care for how our hair looks, we’re offering a few natural remedies to bring back shine and help you achieve beautiful hair.

To have beautiful hair, avoid damage and restore shine

In general, to have a gorgeous head of hair, you should avoid over-damaging it. Very harsh hair treatments, used too regularly (for example bleaching or perming), should be avoided as much as possible.

There are many products aimed at fighting dull hair: shampoos, conditioners, colorings, balayage highlights… Unfortunately, most cosmetic hair products are packed with harsh chemical ingredients that don’t support the health of your hair. So don’t hesitate to switch to organic shampoos or to make your own.

Our recipes to combat dull hair

There’s no need to splash out all your savings on high-end products and a salon visit to bring a little shine back to your mane.

It’s very easy to make your own 100% natural care products. With simple, affordable ingredients, you’ll do good for your hair and for the planet.

A homemade shampoo for dull hair

  • one egg yolk
  • one teaspoon of white vinegar
  • one tablespoon of olive oil

Mix everything and use this blend as you would a regular shampoo, massaging your scalp well. Rinse with clear water. There you go—your hair looks shinier!

A natural mask to restore shine to your hair

  • one egg yolk
  • one teaspoon of honey

Mix everything, then apply the mixture to dry hair, like a standard mask. Wrap your hair in a warm towel and let it sit for 15 minutes.

All that’s left is to wash your hair as usual.

Our rinsing trick for beautiful hair

You can also simply rinse your hair with cold water. This will tighten the cuticles and give it more shine.

For an even more intense effect, add the juice of a lemon to your rinse water
