How to Get a Healthy Glow and Beautiful Skin This Fall

Ethan Hartwell | September 22, 2026

Autumn seems to have clearly taken hold. So it’s time to reach for knit vests, sweaters, and the wind blowing through. Soon winter will leave our skin with no respite. It’s therefore now the moment to pamper it! Here are some hydration and glow-boosting tips and tricks!

In Fall: To Look Radiant, Hydration Is the Key!

This summer, our skin enjoyed plenty of sun. And while some still rock a pretty golden glow thanks to late vacations, the cold and windy days of late have begun to take a toll on our skin.

Stinging, redness… Our skin is already signaling that the cold season is approaching.

To counteract this, we’re especially betting on hydration, natural of course!

Hydration and the Face

The skin on the face is thin and sensitive. Constantly exposed to air and external aggressors, it therefore requires particular attention.

Daily Facial Care

It’s important to hydrate your face every day. After a shower, this helps prevent redness and tautness throughout the day.

Very simply, you can, for example, make your own serum by mixing:

  • 3 tablespoons of sweet almond oil (for hydration)
  • 5 drops of geranium essential oil (a regenerative, soothing, and purifying essential oil)
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil (balancing, antiseptic, and cleansing)

Mix the components and pour them into a dark glass bottle, to be kept dry and away from light.

You can use the serum by warming a few drops in the hollow of your hand before applying it to your face with a light tapping motion.

If your skin is prone to blemishes or if you have oily skin, prefer grape seed oil over sweet almond oil. This plant oil is not greasy at all and nourishes the skin while helping to prevent aging.avoir bonne mineavoir bonne mineLavender Essential Oil

Homemade Hydrating Mask for the Face

Once a week, hydrate your face with a homemade hydrating mask.

No need to search far to make your nourishing and hydrating homemade mask!

In a blender place:

  • a banana, chopped,
  • the flesh of half a seasonal avocado,
  • 1/2 tablespoon of honey,
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Blend everything and refrigerate the mixture, while you thoroughly cleanse your skin (prefer lukewarm water, as heat opens pores and prepares the skin to receive the treatment).

Once your skin is clean, spread the mixture over your face and rest for about fifteen minutes. You can also place two tea bags over your eyelids to reduce under-eye puffiness. To do this, the night before, brew tea and keep the bags in the fridge.

Rinse the mask with clear water. Note that this mask does not keep well.

Gently Exfoliate Facial Skin

Every day, skin cells die and renew themselves. And every day, the skin on the face is exposed to wind, cold, heat, and pollution.

That’s why it is important to perform a weekly scrub to deeply clean the skin and remove dead skin cells.

For a gentle facial scrub, get:

  • jojoba oil if your skin is oily, avocado oil if your skin is sensitive, argan oil if your skin is dry.
  • honey,
  • sugar.

In a bowl, combine a teaspoon of honey with the chosen oil, gradually incorporating until you obtain a semi-thick texture. Add two tablespoons of fine sugar.

Apply to the face in small circular motions to exfoliate your skin without harshness. For the body, coffee grounds are ideal for getting rid of dead skin. After rinsing, don’t forget to hydrate your skin!

Fall Glow Tips!

You used to wake up with a radiant complexion in summer, and now, as autumn arrives, you find your face dull and lifeless.

Rose Water: My Glow-Boosting Water!

Your skin seems to lack tone when you wake up? Try rose water!

This inexpensive product has toning and regenerating properties. Each morning, apply a little rose water to a cotton pad and sweep it over your face. If rose water doesn’t hydrate, it will give you a brighter, less tired look.

You can also add rose water to a mask or to a moisturizer. Simple and practical!

Carrot Mask for Extra Glow!

Carrot (containing beta-carotene) is ideal for an immediate glow effect. To prepare a carrot mask:

  1. Grate two carrots finely.
  2. Add one tablespoon of sweet almond oil.
  3. Add an egg yolk to nourish your skin.

Mix everything before applying the mask to your face. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Your skin will look more radiant!

You can also use carrot water as a facial rinse. To do this, mix equal parts carrot juice with water and use the lotion on a cotton pad after your daily cleansing.

Looking Radiant in Autumn!

Looking radiant and feeling energized in autumn is easy once you know these little tricks!

Chamomile for Tired Eyes

Outdoor light that fades quickly, a darker mood, fatigue… In fall, many people therefore feel their eyes look “tired.”

If that’s you and you’re starting to see bags and dark circles under your eyes, consider chamomile, which will have an immediate effect of reducing those unsightly puffiness that weigh down your look.

Let two chamomile tea bags steep in cold water for five minutes, then place them on your eyes for five minutes.

To wake up your gaze, think of organic cornflower hydrosol, decongesting, to be applied to the face as a spray or, more specifically, under the eyes with a cotton. Two damp compresses or two small spoons placed in the freezer before resting on the eyes for a few minutes can also help wake the look.

Makeup Tips for Autumn

A few makeup tips will help you look radiant, or at least not look tired.

To enlarge the eyes, apply a touch of light in the inner corner, with a concealer pencil for example or a white eyeshadow.

If the eyes look tired, avoid applying mascara on the lower lashes so as not to weigh down the look.

For blush, choose an orange, apricot shade slightly deeper than your skin tone or foundation. Apply the blush on the apples of the cheeks, then add small touches on the top of the forehead, along the bridge of the nose, and on the chin to give the face more depth.

Glow-Boosting Smoothie!

On the dietary front, stay hydrated and load up on vitamins and beta-carotene to look radiant.
